Local reporting, with the source in view.

Comal County Current is an independent local-news publication serving Comal County, Texas, published by Freedom Path Publishing. We are not a government agency, school district or emergency service.

What we cover

Schools, local government, traffic, businesses, development, water, public services, community events and other useful local information. We prioritize worthwhile verified stories over a fixed volume of posts.

How we verify

We prefer original public records and official notices. Each article identifies its source and relevant date. Proposals, allegations, unofficial results and completed actions are described separately. Our reporting can use AI-assisted research and drafting; published facts must be checked against sources.

Images

Images must accurately support the story. Source screenshots are identified in captions. Illustrative or generated artwork is not presented as an eyewitness photograph. Screenshots do not remove copyright restrictions.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships must be disclosed. Advertising and paid content, if introduced, will be clearly labeled. Payment does not establish the truth of a claim or guarantee favorable coverage.
